DeKalb School Watch blog post was published today that provides a photo slideshow on Cross Keys HS and an editorial about the current situation there. For me, the next few months will be pivotal in the history of the school and of Brookhaven. This school as been at the top of the heap in academics as a Georgia School of Excellence and still accomplishes amazing things in academics and athletics. But it is clearly at the bottom of its reputation in Brookhaven and is isolated. Will the community rally behind its traditional High School? My guess is that there's a month or two left in the current window of opportunity. Then, it'll be status quo for years to come.
