The community is warmly invited to the Waldorf School of Atlanta’s 23rd Annual Holiday Fair on Saturday, Nov. 13th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Children of all ages will enjoy a range of activities including candle dipping, jump rope making and an obstacle course. Magical, one-of-a-kind shopping will be available for children in our Enchantment Shop. The Fish Pond will be fully stocked with over 500 handmade fish and water themed treasures. An Artist Market and the Forest Shop offer gifts made from natural materials, including handmade dolls, plant dyed yarns, wooden toys, jewelry, knitted items, toys and more. Delicious food and live music will be offered throughout the day. WSA is happy to announce the puppet show for the 2010 Holiday Fair is Dawn Strider, based upon the book by Jane Yolen. In this touching story, a lonely and bitter giant learns a lesson about love and friendship from an unlikely source. For the Holiday Fair Puppet Show, WSA Kindergarten faculty adapted the story to a marionette show, made the set and crafted the beautiful puppets. Multiple showing will be offered throughout the day. The 2010 Holiday Fair Adult Preview Night is from 6:30pm till 9pm on Friday, November 12. Many savvy shoppers love the adult-only preview night for shopping in the expanded Forest Shop and the Artist Market. This is a great opportunity to purchase Haba, Stockmar, and Ostheimer products locally. Admission to the event is free with fees for activities.
