Today, Sunday, March 25, the owner reported the dog was found with thanks to this post and other helpful neighbors. 

Saturday, March 24, 2012 , George Eckard sent a message : We saw a dog running loose on Desmond Drive near Superior Saturday afternoon at about 3:30. We followed it and tried to catch it through the neighborhood all the way into the Clyde Shepard Nature Preserve. It was a reddish brown and approximately 75 lbs. with a 6 inch bobbed tail. It may be a Chesapeake or a Rhodesian ridgeback.
